Why Tutti Rouge Don’t Offer Free Returns
Let’s talk returns — honestly, openly, and without the corporate fluff.
At Tutti Rouge, we’re all about confidence, comfort, and doing things with intention. So when it comes to returns, we’ve made a conscious decision not to offer free returns. We know that’s not the norm in fashion, and we also know it might raise an eyebrow — so we want to explain why.
1. Free Returns Aren’t Actually Free
“Free returns” sound great on the surface, but the reality is that someone always pays.
In most cases, the cost of free returns is quietly built into product prices. That means everyone pays more, even if they never return a thing. We’d rather keep our pricing fair and accessible instead of inflating costs to cover a system that encourages over-ordering and unnecessary shipping.
We believe in paying for what you actually use — not subsidising waste.
2. Sustainability Matters to Us (A Lot)
Lingerie is one of the trickiest categories when it comes to returns. Many returned items can’t be resold for hygiene reasons, even if they’ve only been tried on briefly. That means perfectly good pieces can end up going to waste.
On top of that, every return creates:
-
Extra transport emissions
-
More packaging waste
-
More handling and processing
We’re actively trying to reduce our environmental footprint, and discouraging unnecessary returns is a big part of that. Free returns often encourage “try five, keep one” behaviour — and that just doesn’t sit right with us.
3. We’d Rather Help You Get It Right First Time
Instead of offering free returns, we invest our time and energy into helping you choose correctly from the start.
That means:
-
Detailed size guides
-
Honest product descriptions
-
Real-life model imagery
-
A customer care team who actually know bras and bodies
If you’re unsure about sizing, fit, or style, we’d much rather talk to you before you order than deal with a return afterwards. Better for you, better for us, better for the planet.
4. Supporting a Fairer, More Responsible Business
We’re an independent brand, not a fast-fashion giant. Every decision we make impacts our team, our suppliers, and the way we operate day to day.
Covering the cost of free returns would mean cutting corners elsewhere — whether that’s in fabric quality, ethical production, or keeping our prices realistic. That’s not a trade-off we’re willing to make.
We choose:
-
Quality over quantity
-
Transparency over gimmicks
-
Long-term responsibility over short-term convenience
5. We Still Want Returns to Be Straightforward
Just because returns aren’t free doesn’t mean they’re difficult. If something isn’t right, we make the process clear, simple, and fair. And if an item is faulty, incorrect, or not as described — that’s on us.
We’re always here to help resolve issues quickly and kindly.
In Short: It’s About Doing Better, Not Bigger
We know free returns have become expected — but expected doesn’t always mean right.
By not offering free returns, we’re choosing to:
-
Keep prices fair
-
Reduce waste
-
Encourage mindful shopping
-
Operate more sustainably and ethically
Thank you for supporting a brand that’s trying to do things differently — and for shopping with intention alongside us 💖
If you ever need help choosing your perfect fit, our team is only a message away.
